Philippine has a long history in which mussel fishing plays an important role. The mussel culture today remains important in this internationally famous spot. The old traditions live on, especially in De Oude Haven, which has belonged to the same family for the past 48 years.

Mussels are honoured here like nowhere else in the world.  People come from far and wide to eat mussels that are transported here each day from Yerseke.
